Thanks to the BeCville Project and the residents
of the Belmont, Ridge Street and Fifeville neighborhoods,
the Preservers of the Daughters of Zion Cemetery
were awarded funds to erect a memorial
to honor the unknown individuals
buried at Charlottesville’s historic
African American cemetery.
On December 16, 2017 we unveiled the Memorial to the Unknown.
