Courtney Goodloe buried his father Charles Goodloe and his son George Dallas Goodloe in the family enclosure at the Daughters of Zion Cemetery before finally being laid to rest there himself on Sunday November 2, 1947.

Courtney Goodloe and his father were both members of Jefferson Lodge No. 20, Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons. Charles Goodloe was also an officer of the Piedmont Industrial and Land Improvement Company:

“W. L. Brown, James Ferguson, Schuyler Saunders, W. C. Gibbons, and Burkely Bullock were five of the nine men who organized the Piedmont Industrial and Land Improvement Company. With Charles Goodloe serving as an officer of the company as well, Jefferson Lodge was well represented in this economic and masculinist effort.” (from A Noble Fight by Dr. Corey D. B.
